The CI Pro P5 LCR v2 from Paradigm is one beast of a speaker. This powerhouse dishes out powerful, cinema-quality sound in spades while staying out of sight. Install one each for the front left, center, and front right channels in a high-performance custom-installed home theater.

Proprietary tech for top-notch performance

One look at this speaker and you might think, “Huh, now that’s a lot of drivers,” and you’d be correct. It includes four drivers and a pair of passive radiators, all featuring high-tech Paradigm design touches.

Advanced tweeter and midrange design

A 1″ tweeter made from aluminum, magnesium, and ceramic takes care of the high frequencies. It’s aided by a specially designed lens that enhances the dispersion pattern and helps keep high frequencies buttery smooth. A flower-shaped surround improves and evens out the driver’s frequency response while taming any sound-muddying distortion. And the tweeter is seated in the center of a 6-1/2″ aluminum/magnesium/ceramic woofer that doles out crisp, articulate midrange frequencies.

Low-frequency woofers and passive radiators

Above and below those drivers are single 6-1/2″ carbon-infused woofers that handle the bass frequencies. These cones are lightweight and stiff, and provide smooth, uncolored sound. Behind the cone, Paradigm gave each driver a long-excursion motor structure and proprietary Active Ridge Technology™ surrounds to keep them performing their best even under intense sections in music and movies.

To really make the low frequencies pop, Paradigm also outfitted the P5 LCR v2 with two 6-1/2″ passive bass radiators. They use the internal air pressure created by the active drivers to resonate at low frequencies and give the bass more oomph.

Installer-friendly features

The CI Pro P5 LCR v2 has an integrated, acoustically inert back box that protects the speaker and keeps sound from bleeding into other rooms. There are pocketed screw holes to help keep your drill steady when you’re fastening the speaker to the drywall. The included grilles are bezel-free for a clean, unobtrusive look.
