Description

A graceful sub that hits hard

Martin Logan has been hard at work engineering a subwoofer that can blend effortlessly with the fast, snappy sound of electrostatic speakers, as well as traditional cone speakers. That work has paid off with their BalancedForce 210, which delivers strong, deep bass with outstanding clarity and detail.

This premium sub features a pair of opposing 10″ high-excursion aluminum woofers powered by an ultra-efficient 850-watt Class D switching amplifier. This force-canceling configuration helps remove distortion for smooth low-frequency impact. And the sub’s non-resonant sealed enclosure keeps your bass tight and responsive with no “smear” from cabinet vibrations.

Controls are hidden yet easy to access

The sub’s top-mounted controls are tucked beneath a smoked glass panel for a sleek, unobtrusive look. There are knobs for volume, low-pass filter, and phase, as well as a 25Hz level control that helps you manually tune the deep bass for your room. Plus, there’s a tone-sweep button that helps you pinpoint unwanted rattles and resonances in your space for cleaner sound.

Flexible connection options

The back panel has a full suite of connections that make it easy to add the BalancedForce 210 to almost any high-end stereo or home theater system. There are left/right speaker-level, unbalanced line-level, and balanced XLR inputs. Dedicated XLR and line-level LFE inputs let you connect the sub to compatible home theater receivers and preamp/processors. And if you’re looking for even more bass, there’s a dedicated daisy-chain output to send signal to additional BalancedForce 210 subs (sold separately).
