Multiple audio zones or home theater amplification

Anthem’s MDX-12 is a great choice for driving a distributed multi-room audio system or for juicing up a home theater. This 12-channel amp can power stereo speaker pairs in up to six different listening zones. Or use the multiple analog inputs to route sound from the individual channels of a home theater preamp/processor. You can even bridge channel pairs to create a single larger channel for power-hungry speakers.

Plenty of analog inputs and a couple of outputs

The MDX-12 has stereo RCA inputs for each channel pair to route specific audio sources to specific rooms. Or you can connect sources to the two global inputs to have the same music playing in multiple rooms — perfect for parties with background music. Just use the switches on each speaker output pair to choose your sources.

The two global stereo RCA outputs allow you to expand your system with more amplifiers. Just run separate RCA cables to the inputs of the extra amplifier and connect the 12V trigger output for automatic turn-on. You can set the trigger switch to “on” to have the amps on all the time, “auto” to fire up your gear when one piece is turned on, or set it to “off” to manually start your equipment.
