Unobtrusive, theater-like special effects
Are you in the planning stages of your custom-installed home theater? Consider the Definitive Technology DW-MAX SUR in-wall speaker for each of your side or rear surround channels. It uses a specialized “bi-polar” design to spread sound effects across a wide, spacious soundfield.
The DW-MAX SUR’s woofers and tweeters fire in different directions to create immersive, wraparound sound effects.
Dual driver arrays for immersive sound
The DW-MAX SUR uses two 5-1/4″ mineral-filled poly woofers for tight bass and articulate midrange, and two 1″ aluminum oxide dome tweeters for clear, defined highs. The woofers and tweeters are mounted off-axis from each other — firing at different angles to generate dramatic, room-filling surround effects.
A three-position level switch lets you cut or boost the highs to best suit your room’s acoustics.
Tool-free mounting for a smooth installation
Def Tech designed a simple two-piece mounting system with pivoting “dog” arms that makes speaker installation simple. And the paintable, low-profile magnetic grille allows the DW-MAX SUR to virtually vanish within your room.
