For decades KEF’s box speakers have won raves from reviewers and audiophiles around the world. But the British company also makes a great-sounding line of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. The Ci160ER is one of their most affordable in-ceiling models, but it uses some of the same technologies that give KEF’s traditional speakers their signature detail and clarity.

The genius of KEF’s Uni-Q design

KEF’s patented Uni-Q® driver technology places the tweeter at the center of the woofer so that the two drivers act as a single point source. This allows listeners to sit anywhere in the room and still enjoy KEF’s famously clear, wide-open sound — without having to sit in the narrow “sweet-spot” created by conventional speaker designs. Whether listening to music or watching a movie you’ll enjoy excellent sound over a large area of your room.

This speaker is also a tonal match for KEF’s traditional box speakers, like the popular LS50 Meta, so you can integrate a pair of the Ci160ERs into a KEF home theater or multi-room music system with confidence.

Adaptable to your décor

Weather-resistant construction means you can safely install these speakers in a bathroom or kitchen. The grilles have a tough coating, and the terminations are moisture-resistant. The low-profile magnetic grilles can be painted to match your room’s décor.
