A wider sweet spot for detailed highs

The F2’s high-frequency reproduction is handled by a second-generation Obsidian Folded Motion® tweeter. This advanced tweeter design uses a thin film that’s folded dozens of times like an accordion to give it more surface area without being gigantic. Since it’s made from a thin material, it’s remarkably lightweight and produces very low distortion. What that means in plain terms is that it has a precise, lightning-quick response that can reproduce subtle nuances in your music and films with lifelike clarity.

The tweeter also features MartinLogan’s latest Folded Motion Waveguide. It widens and directs the tweeter’s dispersion and ensures sonic consistency across the listening area. That means the sound stays clear even if you’re sitting off to the side.

Borrowed drivers from higher-end MartinLogan speakers

The F2 is chock-full of high-performance drivers borrowed from MartinLogan’s more expensive Motion and Motion XT models. This speaker uses one 5-1/2″ rigid aluminum midrange driver and another three 6-1/2″ aluminum woofers to dish out bass. A high-quality crossover network ensures all the drivers work together seamlessly for natural, uncolored sound. The cabinet’s rear port enhances the overall bass response of the speaker, giving more depth to your favorite tracks or films.
