Advanced tweeter design with a wide sweet spot

The C1 uses a second-generation Obsidian Folded Motion® tweeter for detailed, natural-sounding highs. This advanced tweeter design uses a thin film that’s folded dozens of times like an accordion to give it more surface area without being gigantic. Since it’s made from a thin material, it’s remarkably lightweight and produces very low distortion. What that means in plain terms is that it has a precise, lightning-quick response that can reproduce subtle nuances in your music and movies with lifelike clarity.

The tweeter also features MartinLogan’s latest Folded Motion Waveguide. It widens and directs the tweeter’s dispersion and ensures sonic consistency across the listening area. That means the sound stays clear even if you’re sitting off to the side.

Trickle-down woofer design

The C1 uses twin aluminum 5-1/2″ woofers for the mids and bass. The woofer design is borrowed from MartinLogan’s more expensive Motion and Motion XT series models and has been refined to deliver detailed lower midrange and upper bass. The cabinet’s rear-firing port helps deepen the overall bass response.
